Your Temporomandibular Joint or TMJ are the small joints located at both sides of your lower jaw where it attaches to the skull. Patients with TMJ dysfunction may complain of pain in this joint whether at rest or during activities like chewing or opening their mouth. Symptoms may include jaw clicking or popping, pain referral in the face/neck/shoulders, grinding or clenching, limited jaw opening, joint stiffness, headaches, etc.
Our expert therapists will assess your unique jaw and neck movement patterns and any muscle imbalances you may have to understand the causes behind your symptoms. A detailed explanation of your issues will follow with hands on treatment to relieve symptoms and begin to free areas of restricted movement and stiffness.
